GHM Planning has extensive experience of providing interim support to Development Management departments at times of staff shortages, maternity cover, long term illness and increased workloads. We have been providing development management support and conservation advice for over 15 years and have covered a variety of roles including working as part of a household team, working on more complex and major applications, leading area teams, mentoring junior officers and providing conservation advice on applications and pre-application enquiries.
During this time, we have worked for a large number of local authorities including Peterborough City Council, Blaby District Council, East Northants District Council, Rugby Borough Council, Rushcliffe Borough Council, Northampton Borough Council, North West Leicestershire District Council, Nottingham City Council, Peak Park Authority, South Kesteven District Council, Melton Borough Council, Newark and Sherwood District Council and Broxtowe Borough Council.
We offer flexible solutions tailored specifically for each Council and specialise in remote working to provide the most efficient results with some office presence as agreed for meetings, case reviews, contact and discussions. We provide on-going support, can deal with one off batches of cases or one off complex cases and undertake all types of cases from trees to householders to majors. We also deal with pre-application advice and appeals and can assist with local plan preparation through SHLAA assessments.
